Madagascar is located in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of southern Africa, separated from the mainland by the Madagascar Channel. It is the fourth largest island in the world, approximately 1600km in length and 500km in width, comprising some 590,000 square kilometres; approximately equivalent to the size of the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Geological map of Ampanihy & Vohibory projects - 2008Madagascar comprises a fragment of the African Plate, rifted from the vicinity of Tanzania at the time of the breakup of Gondwana some 200 million years ago. At that time Madagascar remained joined with India; moving east-by-south until the late Cretaceous (i.e. approximately 70 million years ago), whereupon the two land masses split apart.

MML Priority Projects Ranking

Ranking & Key Targets within Priority Projects

Exploration tenure comprises three (3) projects covering approximately 1,950 square kilometres of mineral tenure within 114 permits in southern and central Madagascar. The MML tenement portfolio is prospective for commodities as diverse as nickel, copper, cobalt, silver, base metals, manganese, ilmenite (titanium) and silica. The company also enjoys substantial revenue from operational royalty and third-party rental payments.
